Tom Stambaugh is a hands-on executive who is a gifted visionary
and pragmatic programmer.
Zeetix is a company dedicated to realizing Tom Stambaugh's lifelong
vision of making great technology available to everyone everywhere.
Zeetix technology (multiple patents pending) uses the most powerful
cloud-based server technologies to create “Hex™”, a
universally-available language-neutral computing environment. The Hex™
paradigm extends to the browser, were it fully exploits the most powerful
web-based technologies for creating best-of-class user experiences.
Zeetix™ technology provides a compelling fully-interactive user interface to data visualizations of arbitrary size and complexity,
together with rich and robust cloud-based server technology fully scalable in performance, users, and scope.
Zeetix provides access to Tom's many projects...
Tom supplements his leadership of Zeetix by providing executive
consulting services as well as technology analysis, design, and development.

Tom created these two "pre-construction" demos, a GenomeBrowser and a
PathwayBrowser. When complete, each will allow the user to browse, annotate, and publish arbitrary
data at arbitrary detail—all the way from the karyotype or organism to the
sequence or molecular level. Each contains a ZeeScope™ that uses the Google Map API as a user-interface toolkit.
Users interact (pan, zoom, de-zoom) with the published visualization and with instances of ZeeMarker™. Each
ZeeMarker opens, when clicked, to display a ZeeWindow™ that displays related information and links.
Genome Browser: This demo uses the "The Diploid Genome Sequence of J. Craig Venter" poster, published in PLoS Biology, to demonstrate
Zeetix™ technology. This visualization shows two instances of ZeeMarker™ denoting literature references, one for a variant associated with Mycardial Infarction risk and the other
for a region associated with age-dependent nicotine addiction. Each of these ZeeMarkers opens, when clicked, to display a ZeeWindow™ that displays a brief
description of the reference and contains live links to the abstract and full-text of the literature reference.
Pathways Browser: This demo uses Zeetix™ technology to interact with the familiar Roche Applied Science "Metabolic Pathways"
and "Cellular and Molecular Processes" wall-charts. This visualization shows several randomly-chosen and placed instances of ZeeMarker™ (for demo purposes only, containing
no scientific information).
ZeeGuide™ is a "Facebook for neighborhoods", a social network
comprised of businesses, organizations, and individuals related by
physical geography and "affinity".
